The Fish Store and Oyster Bar

The Fish Store and Oyster Bar focusses on providing the freshest seafood on the west coast primarily focussing on local products and sustainability.

The tapas style menu includes classic seafood dishes and contemporary twists, our goal is to make the amazing products speak for themselves.

The fish store opened in 2008 moved to its new location in 2013 at 368 Main St where the addition of an oyster bar and restaurant took place.

With this integration we now offer the freshest local seafood to take home or on your next adventure. If you feel inclined, find a seat and enjoy dish off of our signature tapas style menu and a refreshing beverage from our diverse list.

  • This place can probably hold 30 people tops but it is sooo worth visiting if you like fresh (local) seafood! The staff are super friendly and super knowledgeable about what they are serving you, the oysters are shucked ten inches from where you are sitting and the beer is from the ever famous Tofino Brewery just a couple minutes down the road!

  • Probably one of my favorite parts of my trip to Tofino this year was my visit to the Fish Store and Oyster Bar. 4 of us sat at the bar and ordered a few Ceasres, beers and fresh Oysters - all of which were superb! The ceasre had a giant skewer of seafood, even a crab claw. The Oysters were amazing, and the assortment that we had was great.

  • We stopped here for lunch after a hike on Meares Island. The place is little; there are a couple of tables and the bar which is where we sat. Becca our server looked after us really well. Buck a shuck oysters from the area were one of the features along with their seafood chowder. So good that we then ordered baked oysters in garlic and butter...OMG....we took home some cold smoked tuna and salmon - again so very good.
